Overview
The Bigs is a baseball game with arcade-style controls which focus on stylishness over strict realism. Players control hitters and pitchers during a baseball game, choosing pitch types and aiming strikes. As a pitcher throws strikes or a hitter gets balls, a special turbo meter fills up that can be activated for crazy special-effects-filled pitches and home runs. Instead of a career mode or season mode, the Bigs has a Rookie Mode, where players create a character and try to take them through a baseball season from spring training all the way to the World Series, training and improving them through play and mini-games that simulate practice.
