Overview
Mario Hoops 3 on 3 sends the classic Mario character lineup to the net with a little help from some special guests. Sixteen different colorful courts spread over a set of four tourney brackets keep the visuals fresh and the matches varied. Challenge mode lets players get used to the stylus-based controls and master them in increasingly difficult scenarios. Wireless match-ups let players play exhibition matches, run footraces and face off in coin-gathering challenges. The whimsical gameplay throws conventional basketball rules out of bounds with a variety of quirky touches such as special character-based powers, game-changing power-ups and scores that are skewed by picking up coins. In addition to the iconic Nintendo personalities, a handful of guests from Square Enix's Final Fantasy series join in on the fun with their own distinct perks.
