Often considered the best in the series, Civilization III brings the best turn-based strategy to empire builders everywhere. Firaxis games and Infogrames / Atari teamed up to create one of the most mechanically complex games ever created. The Complete edition combines the original game along with its two critically acclaimed expansion packs, Play the World and Conquests. At the start of a new game in Civilization III, players take control of one of thirty-two civilizations, each with unique special units, leaders, and advances. As the civilization progresses from 4,000BC to well past the modern era, the player must fend off barbarians and survive wars with other civilizations while monitoring resources, advancing technology, and improving the culture of each city. For the first time in the series, players can take Civilization III online to vie for true global domination.
