Battlestations Midway uses action and real-time tactics to draw players in. Single player mode gives players a multitude of options for hours and hours of intense battles. Multiplayer mode offers another option for intense battles where teamwork is an absolute must. The battles are set in the early 1940s and the characters depict that time frame as well as the warships of that time period. It is up to the character to find and sink a series of warships. Each mission is set to sink a different ship. The battles are named for the missions that are to take place. Various awards are given at a few of the achievement levels throughout the game. Some downloadable content is available to add to the disc version of the game. This is an intense game that requires a lot of careful planning to succeed.
