Overview
In Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic is called to the world of King Arthur?s Camelot, where the Merlin?s granddaughter asks him to harness the power of a sacred sword in order to break Arthur?s curse and save the kingdom. Gameplay differs from traditional games in the Sonic series, as it focuses largely on combat with a unique blend of Sonic's trademark speed with a new sword fighting aspect. There are also 242 unique objects to be collected, a knight rating that is based off of the player's deeds throughout the game, and a skill system for increasing speed and power. The game proceeds with players moving through each stage, where they must fight knights, avoid obstacles, interact with of the townspeople, and unravel the mystery of the villain who is threatening Camelot.
