Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns is a simulation game with some RPG aspects. The player chooses a town to join - Konohana (Asian-style) or Bluebell (European-style) - and then works to mend the damage relationship between the towns while advancing skills that focus on farming, mining and fishing, animal husbandry, and creating a family. A new area of exploration available to players are cooking competitions between the two villages that are held at various festivals. The ultimate goal is to reunite Konohana and Bluebell. Players can choose either a male or female character.
