Overview
Steel Diver puts players in control of a submarine via a unique touchscreen control system. Players adjust depth, pitch and speed using a simplified version of a submarine control panel while also firing missiles and repairing damage from enemy attacks. The periscope is controlled by rotating the 3DS and used to attack enemy boats. Modes of play include a campaign mode, time trials, Periscope Strike, and the multiplayer Steel Commander mode which allows two players to match their fleets against each other.
