Overview
In Port Royale 3 there are two modes of gameplay to select from, trader and adventurer. Designed for teens and young adults, players can organize trade with up to 60 different countries including Toruga and Port-au-Prince. There are 16 different ships in this installment. Each has different strengths and weaknesses. It is up to the player to decide which ship to use in battles. Some battles are going to require a small ship that can be stealthy when approaching enemy grounds and others require a large ship to announce the player's presence. Adventurers are those that go out into combat against other naval forces and opposing enemies. The trader role in this game is the player that will go and have talks with other countries to develop agreements for shared trade. Trader roles also develop the routes for the ships to take when transporting goods.
