Overview
Yoshi's Island is another tale in the historical series, this time starring Yoshi. A large floating island appears over Yoshi's home. Soon after, a number of children vanish from the local school. It's up to Yoshi and his four friends, including Baby Mario, Baby Peach, Baby Wario and Baby Donkey Kong, to investigate the strange island above in the hopes of rescuing and returning the lost children. Each baby version of the series stars gives Yoshi unique powers once they ride on his back. In every level there are special flowers, red coins, stars and character coins to collect to add additional challenges to the game. The environment can be viewed above and below, and enemies can be tackled by throwing eggs, jumping and groundpounding. Make sure not to lose the baby while doing so! Included are minigames and bonus levels as well.
