Overview
Players can choose and love six different breeds of dogs in Nintendogs Lab and Friends, all of them some of the most popular dog breeds: Chihuahua, Labradors, Corgis, and toy poodles. Puppies have to be trained and respond to voice commands and like real dogs, some are more easily trained than others. As puppies, owners have to house train them on top of teaching them basic obedience commands. Puppies make messes, demand food, and require lots of love. As the game progresses, players can collect hundreds of objects like dog toys, treats, and clothing items. Pups who end up well trained can participate in dog agility trials and obedience tests. Players are rewarded with cash which they can use to buy more goodies for their puppy or even to purchase more dogs. The game has a "Bark Mode" which lets players take their game out into public and their puppy barks happily if another player is within range.
