Overview
Armored Core V is the fifth main installment of the Armored Core series of mech combat games. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, the player is part of a war between rival factions. The upgradeable and customizable mechs of Armored Core are used as weapons in this war. This game focuses on tactical play, rewarding players who use the design of the levels to control the battlefield; it is also the first Armored Core game to contain Ultimate Weapons, incredibly powerful weapons that can only be recharged between missions. The game contains both a single-player campaign, with a plot focused on this futuristic war, as well as tactical online gameplay, where players fight each other in team battles, attempting to control map territory and secure objectives.
