The core of the game is based on epic battles involving dragon creatures. The powerful dragons arise beneath the earth and cause havoc for human inhabitants. The high fantasy world includes detailed castle like settings and small villages inspired by Europe and Asia. Players have the option to select five different human races to battle the powerful dragon enemies. Each race has special powers that can be used to combat the dragons. Guild Wars 2 includes small hand to hand combat as well as distant large scale combat involving fictional weapons that send magical beams and lights. Personalized story lines can be developed based on a player's custom settings.
