Overview
Jackie Estacado knows darkness. After all, it's trying to devour him. The Franchetti crime syndicate's number one mafia hitman found evil on his 21st birthday. After a hit is put on Jackie's life, an unholy power called the Darkness awakens within him and offers to bring horror to anyone he wants to harm. Use powers granted by the Darkness, including an army of demonic-like creatures known as Darklings, to obliterate those who tried to assassinate Jackie and killed his girlfriend Jenny. Impale, devour, explode and rip apart any enemy that crosses your path, but stay out of the light! The Darkness thrives in the shadows and diminishes in strength when it touches any light source. Tear through New York's putrid criminal ranks to achieve Jackie's goals, but be careful! Jackie might not want freedom from the Darkness when it's over.
