Overview
A third-person action game, Dead to Rights: Retribution is less of a new installment of the series and more of an actual reboot. This iteration of the series continues to feature the same police officer Jack Slate of Grant City along with his attack dog, Shadow. This game was developed by Volatile Games and published by Namco Bandai Games. In a somewhat familiar setting, the game begins with Jack losing consciousness on a seaside dock following his arrival via tugboat, and he wakes up to find threatening Triads expressing a desire for bloody revenge from events not yet known to the player. Shadow defeats the immediate threat, and Jack escapes to a local bar to meet with a friend and explain the story behind what has happened. With the friend and his canine companion by his side, Jack Slate sets out to end the Triad threat once and for all.
