Fans of the action genre are familiar with the gothic-inspired single-player action of the Devil May Cry series. The previous games in the franchise revolved around demon hunter Dante, in all his sword-slashing glory. Devil May Cry 4, however, takes a change of pace as players take on the role of new hero Nero. The new character bears a resemblance to Dante and his twin brother Virgil, and the reasons for this will have to be uncovered along the battle. What is known, however, is that Nero and Dante are at odds, leading to the player, as Nero, going head-to-head with the series legend. Along with the two demon hunters are various characters, old and new, with whom they will interact. The game also features a host of new environments, along with signature weapons and swordplay mechanics enhanced by new fighting combo systems.
