Need for Speed: Shift takes the race driver?s experience into a higher zone of the reality of racing. Players experience the adrenaline rush of driving at dangerously fast speeds, the fear of pushing too hard and losing control and the unnerving awareness that other ferocious drivers are on your rear bumper. Drivers experience the effects of G-forces and feel every impact, each variation in the track surface and the tension gripping the wheel. The system creates a driver?s profile based on each player?s driving style, either precise or aggressive. The driver?s profile determines how a player is able to unlock more high-performance cars and progress in his racing career. Players decide how daring they want to be and choose their cars from average, like the Audi TT, performance, such as a BMW M3, all the way up to hypercars, like the Pagani Zonda R.
