The world's fastest sport comes to consoles with F1: Formula One Championship Edition. The game covers the 2006 F1 season, allowing players to write their own destiny in racing fuel. Legendary commentators Martin Brundle and James Allen follow the player as they advance from race to race, culminating in the finals at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Formula One Championship Edition includes every team and driver that was a part of the 2006 season. As players win races, additional cars become available including the 1970 Lotus 49c and the 1950 Alfa Romeo 158. In addition to the 18 Grand Prix tracks that were a part of the 2006 season, players who achieve gold lap times in every track have the opportunity to unlock an additional test track. Formula One Championship Edition includes multiplayer modes, both through LAN and online.
